The magazine that is included with the Epic Outdoors subscription isn't bad. You may find it less interesting if you have been hunting western states for a while know the details for the draws and point systems in the state of you choice. I just started trying to build points and learn more about how it all works in the last few years, so I like all the state specific info. The stories are fine, but mostly cut paste version of successful hunting stories were dudes thank their wife's for letting them hunt and talk about what an amazing time they had. Nothing against them, they just aren't written by writers.

There are actually 3 magazines called something similar to rifle shooter.

Two British ones and an American one.

There used to be a magazine called Rifle.

Field Ethos is a good read. It’s not strictly a hunting mag….has lots of other interesting stories from far off places.

This has become one of my favorites. Very well put together and a lot of stories that aren’t the same old style of hunting articles.

Yup.

I get some oregon hunter mag and bugle delivered to my shop courtesy of the last owner. I dont even open em up anymore. Just toss em. They arent much more than a couple pretty pictures mixed in between advertisements.

I’ve gotten Gray’s Sporting Journal since I was a kid and I still like it. I also get The Fly Fish Jornal, which isn’t hunting but is an excellent publication.

I used to subscribe. I kind of got tired of all the hairy chest f-bombs for f-bombs sake - they seem to be added after the fact at times. . I know of a guy who wrote two articles for them and they edited both to make them uber-manly so the guy stopped submitting articles. Just didn’t like how everything had to be some bad-ass, cigarettes and beer, bang some chick, eff ‘em all wearing a submariner etc.
