My first choice in AR platform is 6arc. Then 22arc. I’m getting 3150fps with 70gr NBT out of my 18” 6arc. Big enough to comfortably shoot pigs, hammers coyotes, can shoot from 55gr to 108+ bullets.
ETA: the lower SD of 6mm bullets compared to .224 in similar bullet weights will also make for more rapid expansion. I like rapid expansion on varmints.

My 22arc seekins with the OG 6-S is quickly becoming my favorite do it all truck gun. I’ve been tempted to load 77 tmks and leave the tikkas at home during deer season 😬

I like my good old 223, its enough to do the job, not flashy, just functional. Cheap to feed, big enough to put the smack on a coyote / whitetail if needed. Arc is cool, but it doesn't really solve any issues.

556 for me. It does everything I need it to. The other calibers are pretty legit, but hard to find in a small town and expensive to have shipped.
I went with the flash-in-the-pan new varmint rounds. At the same time, they served me well. The venerable 223 has come home to roost. Howa 1500 mini action 1in8 twist, metal trigger guard, jard trigger at 8ounces, Velos lbp suppressor, heavy barrel bell, and Carlson aluminum skim bedded stock, shooting Hornady 53 V-max, it will put the smack on gh's and coyotes to 400 yards easily, doing so is easy with the Athon Ares ffp ir scope at 4.5x30x56 scope. The 17 Hornet will never leave either a deadly performer out to 300 yards.

How does that og 6s do on an ar15 arc for sound and back pressure? I have a seeking 223wylde with a ptr vent1 that's awesome for sound and back pressure. Also what's your barrel length?

18 inch barrel, I had to adjust the gas down a bit but nothing terrible and it’s ran like clock work. I was using a scythe and the ogs seems just as quiet but with much better form factor. I did have to use a shim on the threads so it didn’t touch the hand guard.
