Have found some great deals on used equipment/clothes/shoes on Geartrade.com. The website isn't the most user friendly, but worth a look.

I agree with you both on the website being a mess. This is where "backcountry.com" sells off their returned items, similar to how rei does their 'garage sale'. If you go to the sight and find the seller "backcounty" you know you're getting something from them. I've had lots of success this way over the years.

A last minute rainy forecast for my hunt last year resulted in me grabbing some of the lightweight packable rain gear from cabelas that happened to be on sale and I thought it did great. Probably my favorite piece of gear bought for that hunt.
