Best 6.5 mm for hunting?

Depending on your intended bullet weight hard to beat the 6.5-284 for 127lrx or 140 accubond and vld. But if your looking to run some heavy bullets the 6.5 wsm is awesome with the 156 eol. I have both and a 6.5-06 they are all super on deer. The wsm is starting to be my favorite as it is built on a customized kimber montana light fast and accurate.

Short Action doesn’t jive with the 6.5x284 or the 6.5-06.

What makes it the easy choice?
Factory dies commonly available. Brass that is head stamp correct available or just form from 270wsm brass. Short action easley compatible, with speed equal to most of the long action chamberings . But still a true wildcat that most don't have or even heard of.

Lightweight rifle and not planning on a brake, so I would like to keep the recoil down.

Just guessing but probably doesn’t have a man-bun or drive a Volkswagen

Hahaha they have decals of manbuns, I’m going to stick one on my CM, ought to be fun

6.5 in a short action doesn't leave you a lot especially if your banning the Golden child CM ( I love the CM 😬) . Had a 6.5/284 built on an old 270 action and it does awesome
