What are everyone’s thoughts on Bergara’s new can? It’s heavier than some models. Evidently it shoulders on the muzzle vs the shoulder of the barrel? I like it has vented and flat caps. Interesting.

I’ve watched a couple videos. The video by X-Ring was a good demonstration. Evidently very little POI shift from can vs no can. I’m seeing lighter cans that are $200 less with swapable end caps.

$1100 for a 13 ounce (I'd hope that includes the mount?) 6.5" Ti can is a hard sell these days.

I'm not sure how face mount would be better than a typical DT mount? Muzzle faces get lots of fouling on em if using a muzzle device, which would seem sub optimal. Maybe its just my skepticism.. but wouldn't be surprised if Bergara just machines the muzzle face more consistently than they do the muzzle threads and thats why they went this way.

Seems indexing off the crown would reduce poor alignment and baffle strikes no?

I’m pretty skeptical of the alleged less POI shift claims. It’s a 13 oz can hanging off the muzzle, not sure why it would have less poi shift than any other can. Sure, you can get lucky and have a barrel that shows less shift then another barrel but that doesn’t mean the suppressor had much to do with it. I don’t know why it’s a big deal anyway I don’t make a habit of going back and forth shooting a rifle suppressed and then unsuppressed the next day.

It would be a tough sell for me, the 6”-7” space is pretty crowded with great cans, Nomad TI XC, Reaper, Raptor 8. Last week Hanson Bros had OCL Hydrogen S’s for a bargain and that’s a great can too that’s lighter and proven vs the Bergara.
