Bergara vs Tikka in 6.5prc

My next big purchase will be a multi cal suppressor, something like the banish 46 or something similar. So I'd personally love to have the threaded barrel, but it's not necessarily a necessity I don't reckon
You can always cut the barrel down a bit and thread for a suppressor when the suppressor comes.

Agree with everything here. But tikka is starting to thread most of their standard models. If you can find one of those it’s worth it. Suppressors are the best thing you can add to a gun after scope.
Indeed. The Superlite he mentioned, I don’t think those come threaded do they?

As you said all of the newer lites come threaded with a taper to the D16 barrel at the end.

Apparently the new t3x lite/superlite models come threaded now
Tikka’s website has never really been great on details. If you’re looking to order one of these and aren’t sure it’s threaded. Email or call Eurooptic to make sure you get what you want. They tend to have the best prices and have great customer support.

Tikka 6.5prc stainless varmint would be my vote if you don’t mind a little extra weight vs the light.
I’ve put around 50 rounds through my brothers bergara b14hmr this last weekend . The gun shoots well and handles decent, but for personal preferences I wouldn’t own one. The action isn’t as smooth vs the tikka and the 90deg bolt drives me nuts personally. The mag length is pretty much maxed with factory 147eldm ammo. It’s a heavy rig as well. I should have weighed it, but it is 100% as heavy as my 6.5cm tikka varmint in a woox chassis which is 12lb 3oz.
Comparison wise, the brother inlaw has a 6.5prc tikka ctr in a mdt xrs chassis. The gun shoots similar to the bergara, probably a good pound lighter. Downside is the mdt chassis uses AICS mags, so your in the same boat as the bergara if you want to hand load some 156’s out there a ways.

I was in the same scenario last year, after some research it seems the Bergara has more issues, tho few, then Tikka. That was enough to sway me away from Bergara. After a summer of shooting the tikka it has everything I could ask for. Some small additions to the factory stock as mentioned you are good to go.
