Bergara 308 semi auto ?? Decent ?

Found a Bergara 308 semi auto for a decent Price, Figured it would be my reward for my 1 year not smoking quit. Also I am looking for a good red dot, quick acquisition and accurate any help ? HOG hunting rifle .

I have never seen a Bergara semi auto. I would be really really cautious.

Yes It was A bolt action Mountain Bergara, beautiful rifle but not what I wanted.
Ordered the Browning Mark 111 308 BAR with the DBC 18" barrel All black and composite. Paid up for it but still got it under MSRP, and it is new in the box.
Now to get a scope for it, I will be using it for Pig hunting figure all shots under 100 yard. Planning on a Red Dot Reflex But don/t have the 5250 for Trijicon CONG ?
My budget for the rifle and optics was $2000.00 and with all the FFL, Tax and shipping I only have $500.00 of that left. I will need to buy some hunting ammo so figure $400.00 for a scope.

On the optic, take a hard look at Primary Arms SLX line of optics. I've got two now and a buddy has 3. He is particularly hard on his stuff and all 5 of ours have been fine.
