I looked forward to trying one out... like you, I love Benelli shotguns. But it seemed pretty chintzy for a gun at that price point. It did have some interesting features, but it ended up being too much squeeze for the juice.I handled one at the store and tried to like it. I love Benelli shotguns but the safety mechanism and just overall build quality felt cheap to me for the price point.

Mine is a tackdriver too. 2nd the Hunter Precisions and the ELD Match, though it doesn't mind the venari 129s (1 moa) and I was surprised at how well it does with the Win Match stuff.I bought one of the display models from Cabelas in 6.5 PRC. I adore this rifle. I have a handful of rifles including a couple Tikkas, Franchi Momentum Elite and Browning X bolt. This quickly became my favorite. Its unique ergonomics and recoil system is legit. So comfortable to handle and shoots more like a 6.5 creedmore than PRC as far as felt recoil. Best of all it’s shooting one hole or close to one hole groups at 100 yards with multiple factory ammo’s I’ve tested. I went through a few to land on Hornady Hunter Precisions and Barnes LRX as the most accurate for my rifle. Both of those were shooting the one hole groups pretty consistently when i would let the barrel cool. I was sad that the Federal Terminal Ascents weren’t at the top, but they were still right at 1MOA. Love them for an elk bullet when a rifle shoots them well like my Tikka 30-06. Anyway, if you see one of these 1k and below I would grab it if the non-traditional design doesn’t freak you out too much.
I tired 8... here is the brand and the groups... fed fusion (bad) 2.5, win match sub 1, vearis 1, precision hunter sub 1, eld sub 1, sig elite pretty stinky around 2 and a surprising budget option sellier and bellot (soft points around 2, tactical at 1.5). They will all kill pigs and deer, but I am headed out for audad so wanted something pretty good for extended ranges.Good to know about the Vineri and Win match ammo. I’ll give them a try. I have noticed the same with the ejected brass. I just started being more gentle on my pull back but agree it should have been caught when they were designing
