I havent gotten a chance to take it into the backcountry yet, but i like the argali one with the sharpening surfaces and leather strop built into it. I have a similar black ovis one that works well under a pack belt too, but having the ability to touch up a knife with the argali belt is a really cool idea, ive been practicing sharpening with it occasionally

About as many recommendations as a boot thread. I have bought and tried several looking for the micro adjust, elimination of buckle bulk and low profile to wear under pack belt, and stiff enough for a decent sidearm, without slipping or sagging. I’ve got the Filson, Kuiu, and a Grip 6. The Grip 6 is a lot better supporting a heavier sidearm, as low, or lower profile under a pack belt, and would be my recommendation.

No pack: Argali or suspenders
Pack: Arcade

The arcade belts are the only thing I’ve found that doesn’t bug me under a pack belt. The argali (basically the same as grip 6) is awesome, it just doesn’t work for me with a pack.

OV Innovations Tactical Under Pack (UP) Belt (https://ovinnovations.com/collections/misc-pack-accessories/products/tactical-up-belt)

and

Viking Tactics Suspenders (https://www.vikingtactics.com/product-p/vtac-ss.htm)

Sometimes one, sometimes the other, sometimes both. Both are functional and very low profile.
The OV Innovations UP belt works well with me. I tried a stretchy belt but didn’t stay tight enough to keep my pants up. ( a physique issue). Great customer service as well. Jesse Able ( owner/designer) is a stand up dude.

I like the first life belt as well, but my favorite has been the trayvax cinch belt especially if I’m using a pack with a hip belt. It doesn’t have the flex of the first life, but it’s a bit lower profile and quicker to take off/adjust/etc

Arcade belt. Have been wearing 1 for over a year daily. My wife bought me the narrower version for my mountain pants, since they have smaller belt loops. Have been pleased with them

Like most I have tried multiple belts. The Sitka bomber belt is a cool concept but metal clip is hard on your belly at times and the belt comes loose. The Groove belt and the rest of the stretchy belts are very comfortable but seem to work its way down my hips due to the stretchyness. The SG belt was a disappointment because how thin and lightweight the nylon is, the buckle is cheap plastic and loosens very quickly. The belt I have been extremely happy with is the Kifaru garment belt, it is well constructed with nylon and metal buckles, can be ordered larger and cut down to size, and does not come loose as the day goes on.

I have a HIll Prople Gear under pack belt, kuiu climbing belt and a couple marsupial stretch web belts. I much prefer the marsupials.
