Lol....no, I didn't mean that.....good one though. Just thought, I have it in the cart, purchased other things and then....BAM! Seems the cart would hold it till you checked out.
Sounds like you hadn't "purchased" anything yet. You "placed" items in your cart, but they aren't "purchased" until you pay for them.

If you were building a system, why didn't you have everything else in your cart before the Bedlam started? Then you add it, hit checkout, and you were on your way. Not the other way around.

that IS EXACTLY exactly what I did...lol. I'm telling you, it was gone in a blink. Listen, I'm very familiar with how the systems work or don't work (kind of my gig also for a company). My only criticism is that the cart should reserve for a period of time (log off, close out, time etc) before it's removed. I'm good with it, just thought it was a bad experience. If they sold out in 2 mins, there had to be 100's of people doing the same thing and checking out quickly (and that's a logarithm that rolls the line). Some got it, some didn't. Limited supply and I'm good with it.

Each product / company has a separate back end rule that is implemented. Think of ordering a car. You build it, order it and I come in and pay all at once and take it......we good? Don't think so. You put money down right? Who cares, I paid in full. Still not right of me. You go to Walmart, fill your basket and I come by and take your eggs? Not right of me. Wrong in both experiences. Even though cyber shopping has different opportunities, it can be made differently.

I'm good fella's, just pointing out a bad experience in my opinion. No harm.

It seems like something that could/should be improved in their system.

Some places will hold an item in your cart for 10-20 minutes so you can finish grabbing the other things you want.

Wouldn’t surprise me. And then brag how they sold out in 2 minutes.

It’s along the same lines and the huge red carpet roll out for the damn wallet.

Yeah the “sold out in two minutes” instagram post kinda tipped the hand.

Different strokes for different folks, but I much prefer SG and Exo’s tendencies for having things in stock and shipped within a day.

im telling ya, they saw the traction that the K4 thread was getting on here....taking over the backpack section. 'quick design a pack, film it! Make 10...boom sold out"

Well, they only designed a bag. Same frame as always. So, not pack design.

This means they failed to have enough bags sewn, because frames are still in stock (as is the $300 duffle bag). Which points to pathetically poor planning or intentional drama to create artificial scarcity.

Intentional drama, check. Artificial scarcity, check. Fanboy anxiety to find one at any cost, check.

They sent out a "90 minute final warning" email before the "drop"....c'mon Kifaru, your desperation is showing.

Sadly I have to agree.

I could be wrong but it seems like the market is slowly but surely shifting. Too many great options on the market right now.
