Has anyone tried hunting with the Beck .308 subsonic 180gr Rex ammo? I did a search on here and came up with nothing. I’d like to try a subsonic .308 round for deer at 100yds and in and would prefer a copper round. This ammo says it’s for a 1:10 twist which my gun has, it’s a 16” Tikka .308. I’m considering ordering some too try but figured I’d see if anyone on here has experience with it first.

I have been thinking of grabbing a 16" ruger ranch in 300 to shoot suppressed but already have a 16" tikka 308 so I've been curious myself what are some good subs.

Why do you want to use a copper monotlithic round in a sub..? Seems like a recipe for as minimal a wound cavity as possible. Monos rely on speed to upset, even when they do upset the wound channels are lacking.
Not the makers Rex. It is designed for sub and the single best sub bullet I have found. They spread like a mechanical broadhead. Nasty stuff.

I popped off before I looked into them. Shame on me.
Hence why I deleted my post. Interesting bullet for sure…
I wouldn’t have believed it either had I not tried them. Cool stuff.

I went through a sub phase a couple of years ago. Thing is if I want to bow hunt I just use my bow! And for predators I like speed. But it’s a fun thing to fool with sometimes.
