Bear Fence

Nope. But Solo Hunters sells them on their website for $30.

I have thought about it...I just don't spend much time worrying about bears.

I worry more about bears when I am away from camp than when I am there, so a signaling device would do me little good. We pretty much only bring the electric bear fence to Kodiak anymore, and then it mostly gets used for putting around basecamp while we are off hunting for the day or even spike out overnight.

I agree with Becca though I have far less experience. If you are worried about bears while you are in camp, there are numerous ways to setup proximity alerts with what you already have. For instance, just use some of your cordage and string up a "fence" with your cook system or whatever else is noisy hanging from it so it bangs together when disturbed. However, this can get quite annoying when windy :)

Good ideas, all. I try to hunt hard enough to sleep like a rock. My late Korean War veteran buddy used a battery-powered occ sensor when we were in Canada, eh.

I try my damnedest not to hunt so hard that I end up sleeping like a rock. The last thing I want to do is sleep through bears in camp in the middle of the night.

I am in the boat of not worrying too much, however I do as Becca outlined. I would probably be more worried if I knew how many critters were roaming around the tent at night:)
