How about a teaser?

It is getting harder to tease without spilling the beans. I had to switch gears to get ready for Africa in a few weeks. My buddy who is is meeting me there is currently working in the UAE and wants to shoot LRXs so I developed a load for the Nosler with 200s at 3200fps shooting well under .5moa. My PRC barrel also hates 215 Bergers which put a damper on my plans. I have moved onto Hornay bullets in the PRC.

A break to Africa sounds like great place to test that Nosler set up. What is on the LRX menu?

We will both be chasing sable, waterbuck, and bush buck. Of coarse any giants of other species will always be fair game. It looks like I will be shooting 208 ELDs in the PRC. I only have 5 non working days until my flight. The PRC is not playing nice. The Nosler tuned super easy with the LRX and the Berger. I still need to tweak the 215 with the Nosler.

I will be interested in your results and pictures.

I shot a Sable in Zim years ago with a 300 WSM and Barnes 180 TTXS. About an 80 yard shot through the thick stuff.Had to thread the needle for a double lung but that animal did not even flinch as he ran off after the noise.
Tracked him down and he was already dead but the bullet did not pass through his far side. Most all the blood stayed inside the cavity.Everything over there is tougher than it looks.

Good Luck.

Last trip I took a kudu, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, reedbuck, and nyala with 215 bergers. None made it more than 50 yards and the hartebeest and nyala did not take a step. I am not a fan of Barnes so it will be interesting to see the ELD side by side with the Barnes.
