This does suck - Cabelas is absolute garbage. I ended up with a bunch of gift cards to Cabelas through a work promotion and have been trying to use them - tough when everything is out of stock. Need new camo? No problem as long as you want cabelas/redhead brand (which I hate). Not sure how many years they can stay afloat even with their massive size. I was reading reviews on some products and many of the reviews have nothing to do with product - it's just people complaining about how they ordered something online and eventually had to cancel the order because it never came back in stock...

There goes my killick grid fleeces i like for $30. Although i did get two meat lugs with lids from cabelas last night for $30. I was so shocked when i saw the price i ordered 2. I'm really starting to think Bass Pro is secretly anti outdoors and are just playing the long game to ruin it for everyone.....

Sportsman’s Warehouse is private company too. Looks like an all cash deal. Sportsman’s owner is getting out, probably grew the company so big that other individual shareholders couldn’t afford to buy him out.

On the bright side, at least another outdoors company with a good history bought them, instead of that company that bought Remington.....

I wish Bass Pro would buy the corona virus so they could destroy that too.
Seriously, where is everyone getting camo these days? I have a couple merino products, but sometimes I don't want to pay $80 for a hunting shirt.
Seems like there is a big market niche for the mid-size guys (e.g. Rogers, Scheels, etc...) to step into.

Ahhh...Awesome....another monopoly in the forming....recon scheels is next.....
I quit sportsman's and scheels awhile ago. I used to like wondering around those stores. Oh well. Still have capital sports in helena. Little small but archery shop and firearm folks are cool to talk too. Gunsmith there is second to none.
Dangit.

Happy for the former Sportsman's owner, hope he made a pile. Sucks for Sportsmans! More o' my money going to Scheels in Billings and Bob Wards - at least we have tons of options.

Wish Scheels would open in Bozeman, but I think we're way too woke.

... this is not good.

There's a field and stream (owned by Dicks) by us that was just converted to a sportsmans warehouse... wonder if there is something even deeper...

There goes the cheap Tikka Superlites. The Cabelas version are a couple hundred dollars higher than Sportsman’s. I expect Cabelas will raise the price to match.
