Fieldcrafts are overrated. I will put my CA Ridgeline FFT Ti w/20" carbon bbl in 308 Winchester up against anyone's FC. 5 lbs and shoots under 1/2" with just about any factory ammo. Ti and carbon. Carries and handles great. Got a Backcountry can on it. What more could anyone want for under 3K?

CA is one of those manufacturers that can go either way. You either get a bang up rifle or a paperweight that keeps going in for warranty work.

I don’t doubt that they can make/have made good rifles, I just can’t see myself gambling on them personally.

And you would still have a free floating barrel if you got a good one.
