Barrel contour nrl

Weight of current rifle is 10lb 1oz. Tikka t3x 6.5cm in a McMillan mtn tracker lr. Looking to do a barrel and keep it under 12lbs. Planning for a bartlein blank. A #4 takes me right to 12 or possibly just over. A 3b should keep me below. Will 3b be effective for nrl? Tia

Sure, why not? Build for balance, and try to get the balance point in front of the mag well.

3b will work fine. Know a few guys running fluted 3Bs.
