Have any Roksliders used these on big game? Or any of the other Match Burners?
We’ve been using ELDs with excellent results the last several years, and will continue with them, but looking at other possible higher BC options.
I appreciate the input, Form. For a guy who doesn’t have any experience with the VLDs- how would you say they compare with the penetration and performance of the 147ELD at CM speeds? They fragment well, similar to or maybe more so, than Berger VLD’s.

For me it's pretty simple. Match bullets are designed for matches. Game bullets are designed for game. I suspect your question arises because they are in stock and others are not?

Thnx! That helps a bunch! They fragment a bit more. A bit less penetration by a couple of inches than 147’s.

The OP asked a question and I answered it, like others are doing. They fragment a bit more. A bit less penetration by a couple of inches than 147’s.
Do you have any experience with the subject?
Not all 'hunting' bullets are constructed equally. Same goes for 'match' bullets. For me it's pretty simple. Match bullets are designed for matches. Game bullets are designed for game. I suspect your question arises because they are in stock and others are not?

I haven't gotten to the point where I've had to shoot a match bullet at game.
If only the rest of the internet had this attitude, the world would be a different place. You guys sure got me on the experience. However it is correct that he was asking if anyone has done it, wasn't asking for an opinion so I'll take my licks and pay better attention next time.
Look forward to seeing the results. I was thinking of trying these in my 6 creed.
I’ll be using the 112gr MB on elk this year, so we’ll get some info from them as well b
How did these do? Would you say 1800 fps is minimal expansion velocity or somewhere north of 2000 fps like a VLD target?

Absolutely. The 112gr MB upsets violently, and is probably near perfect for sheep, goats, deer, etc.
