Barnes 145 Match Burners on game?

Have any Roksliders used these on big game? Or any of the other Match Burners?

We’ve been using ELDs with excellent results the last several years, and will continue with them, but looking at other possible higher BC options.

The OP asked a question and I answered it, like others are doing.

Plenty of experience with game bullets, not a match bullet fan for regular hunting distances and potential quartering shot angles and keeping as much meat on the table versus in the trash. Don't need to have shot them to see the difference or read the difference in the overall picture to have an opinion and make a statement based on that. I haven't gotten to the point where I've had to shoot a match bullet at game. They are not the best all-around choice, if there is a choice to make.

Many of you all have experience with match bullets on game, but again, given the choice for me it's not a hard one to make.

Not all 'hunting' bullets are constructed equally. Same goes for 'match' bullets.

I, and hunting buds, have had excellent performance from the 147ELD on multiple elk and deer. Still haven’t managed to catch one, even in bull elk. But I don’t have experience with the Barnes MB, so appreciate those who actually do sharing theirs.

How did these do? Would you say 1800 fps is minimal expansion velocity or somewhere north of 2000 fps like a VLD target?

Absolutely. The 112gr MB upsets violently, and is probably near perfect for sheep, goats, deer, etc.
