We were issued these. I had a ton of them when I got out in 2018 and they are just now starting to show some wear, mainly from the elastic in the waist band. Literally the only ones I wear.

Free balling since I was 14. Hmmm, 46 years since I've had ball chafing.

However, when I do wear underwear it's always boxer briefs. Cotton or synthetic, no chafing.

Boxers do help in the Summer.
Course sometimes the "guys" go Feral.
With shorts that can be an issue.

Used to have issues with this on backpacking trips/hunts. Saxx Quest underwear solves the problem. They have a "ballpark pouch” feature that does the trick. Also the anti microbial treatment manages smell amazingly well for me at least. Gold bond body powder helps too.

Definitely an advocate for Saxx, those were a game changer for me.
My son introduced me to Saxx underwear....I ain't going back. They work and are damn comfortable.

The other thread got shut down, so here we are.

I've never had an issue with ball chafing, other than from my running shorts chewing up my thighs if they get damp and I'm out for 8 hours or so.

But, I have used body glide (blue stick) on the nips and it works great. I would use in on my thighs confidently.

Side note, if you're a ball shaver, that's definitely not going to help your chafing problem unless you get the hair permanently removed. So, maybe rethink the shaving.

Agree, I tried it a few time in the military as other guys swore shaving helped. It just made thing worse.

Other lessons.

Vaseline can collect dirt and make an abrasive slurry.

Talc products can clump and form abrasive little balls of talc cristals.

The saying "pics or it didn't happen" comes to mind. But, for the love of God, don't be tempted.

No pics to prove it and I'm not recreating the misery to get some, I may have been dumb enough to learn the lesson more than once, but once learned it has stuck.
