I am a big fan of small, handy rifles. Especially, Remington Model Sevens . I'm on alot of forums and groups and follow threads about compact rifles closely. I've seen a trend lately that just baffles me. I see a photo of a sweet compact like a model seven , Howa, Browning micro, and many others, and I dont understand the scope choices. Yesterday I saw a picture of a Model Seven .243 with a 6.5-20×50 Leupold with sunshade. The scope was longer than the 18.5" barrel! The photo was taken in a stand that might have given a 100 yard shot. Two pounds of scopes on six pound rifles! 3-18, 4-24, 8-32× scopes, see them everyday, just dont get it. Enjoy that compact, use an appropriate glass.
