Badlands and Rokslide asked me to review one of their new day packs, the ATX 25- 25 as in 2500 cubic inches (40 liters). It's an internal frame with two aluminum stays. I'll be using it on my local single track trails, few longer hikes and going to try to squeeze in a couple of 2-3 day trips w/ it too.

Took it out today on it's maiden voyage- 13 mile (4000') local peak bag :)

One correction— the hip belt is NOT removable on the ATX 25, it appears it is on the two smaller ATX packs.

Good looking pack. Appears sturdy.

Would this pack work well as for 2-3 day hunting trips? I'm a new hunter and looking for a new pack, no plans on going beyond two nights/three days aka weekends.

Yup — I did a few two and three day trips with it; that’s pretty close to the limit as food starts taking up a lot of volume.

And there's enough space for hauling out a quartered mule deer?
Nope. There’s probably enough room for a boned deer if you were just day hunting.

If you were backpack hunting, would probably be able to get a little boned meat out, but would have to return for the rest.

I think they primarily designed this pack for day hunting.

Thanks for the info.
