The only factory ammo I have ever had shoot off target in a gun was Remington corelokt. Never will shoot it again.

But I would say that’s a 1% chance what happened to you. 99% likely you just didn’t hit vitals or something crazy happened. Was there any brush you were shooting through? Either one of those shots should have been lethal. I don’t think I have ever had a deer get away with a good high shoulder shot. Hard to say what happened. Sounds like you did about all you could do trying to find her.

core lokt has always worked well for me.

They are great in my 243

Are the 180's PSP or round nose? A PSP 180 might not expand very well if you don't hit bone. That's the only thing I can think of. Have you killed anything with these bullets in the past?

They are psp. No I personally haven't out of the 30-06 I have out of .243 Winchester. But I know plenty of people that have used the psp out of the 30-06 and killed plenty of deer with them.
