I sold that shelter several years ago so I can’t remember for sure, but I think 8 was the minimum, and 13-15 to guy out every point for maximum storm worthiness. Looking back at my notes, I usually carried 8 mini groundhog’s and 7-9” carbon fiber stakes (two were spares), for a total shelter wt. of around 18 oz.

I will continue singing the praises of the Warbonnet Ground Tarp. For 17 ounces, you can sleep three adults and gear and have the sides closed to keep out wind and rain and still have room for things like cooking. With a couple practice pitches, can set it up in just a few minutes alone. I have not seen anything that can compete with its weight to space ratio.
