Are they worth it? I was contemplating buying one but have been deciding the pros and cons of carrying one with me. I will have a basecamp already that will have a better setup.

Worth it in what regard?
Do u need a backpacking stove or not?
I use mine at the truck all the time to but I wouldn't if I had a different stove already set up.

I will have a basecamp setup with a stove. I was just wondering if its worth the weight have one with me when I'm out hunting for the day.

Maybe a little more context/time of year.
10 miles a day during archery just to cook Roman at lunch? Not this guy.
I hunt with camp on my back then so I'll have it anyways.
2 miles to a glassing point in Nov so I can have coffee and hot lunch for sure.
So worth it depends on you really, how much value does what you will be cooking with it uplift u.
If u otherwise hate ur food, but can fire that up and get ur calories in an hunt harder yeah prob worth it.
For me I just down my fuel and hunt. Not worth it for me to carry it everywhere I go if I'm going back to base to eat dinner anyway.

On a late hunt where that stuff is more uplifting I would be more inclined, but still probably wouldn't if I was going back to eat.

This would be more of a late season hunt in mid November. Its hard to say what the weather will be like but it could be 60 degrees or 20 degrees with a foot of snow from hunting it years prior. It would definitely help with a comfort factor. Generally I hunt within 3 miles of camp in this unit. I'm leaning towards the comfort factor for amount of weight gain to my pack. Thanks.

Ohh yeah, on a late hunt coffee and hot food mean alot more. And I'm more likely to sit and glass anyway.
August archery. Ain't nobody got time for that lol
