It seems like a good solution for certain applications...

It seems perfect for a 3+ day spike camp. You could leave it running while hunting and have all the power you might need to recharge your phone, headlamp, Zoleo, etc. You'd have enough power indefinitely.

3lbs is a bit heavy you'd need a long enough trip with enough electronics to justify it. For a basecamp at your truck, I found that a trolling motor battery is an ideal solution...

I was trying to compare this option to a solar panel...

This seems to be recommended fairly often on Rokslide:

That solar panel will generate about 18W of power for maybe 4-6 hours per day.

It looks like the little turbine will generate 40-50W of power for maybe 24 hours per day...

Sorry... I just saw this plot...

For a day with about 10mph winds, the turbine only generates about 4 kw...
