With no breakfast, pants or shoes either. Forgot to mention thatI bet it was uphill both ways too.
They definitely hype it up more than it usually turns out to be.

Two years of licenses could likely cover the moving expenses, considering what we charge for a NR elk license.hobbes: it's not to play cowboy, it's the cheap resident elk tags. Spouses will love it.
No doubt in my mind that there is not another 5 months anywhere on the planet that can compete with May - September in Alaska. Throw in some pretty fun winter stuff and the best OTC hunting maybe anywhere on the planet and I'm staying right where I'm at even if my ass wasn't frozen to the ground. My wife has drug me against my will to enough warm places during the winter to know dealing with the concentration of people in them places is not worth the weather tradeoff for me. It can get a hell of a lot colder than it does now before I go anywhere else! There needs to be a bot that auto replies this thread every time a "thinking of moving west" thread pops up. you guys are nuts
Single didgets tommorow in bellinghamThere's a big cold snap coming to much of the country - It would be cool to see what temps you are seeing on Wednesday/Thursday
Post the temp and your closest town when the mercury drops
Couple of back to back cold winters will fix the new resident issue. Mild winters just encourage them. Two years of licenses could likely cover the moving expenses, considering what we charge for a NR elk license.
But.....wifey better be okay with the cold. Last year was barely a winter so a lot of new folks were saying "this isn't so bad". This fall and winter seems destined to set the record straight.
Different strokes for different folks. I don't mind winter. Have zero desire to live somewhere without four seasons. There needs to be a bot that auto replies this thread every time a "thinking of moving west" thread pops up. you guys are nuts
