In the past I always had my rifle in my hand but hunt over the last year have made me wish I could have my hand/hands back.

How do you attach your rifle to your pack or other solutions other than the standard rifle sling.

Just wonder what options are on the market. Ideally something hands free but accessible. I know I could just strap it to my pack but seeing if better options exist.

Thanks,
Phil

Kifaru gun bearer. Best solution I've ever used for sure. I don't even keep a sling on my rifles anymore.

I use Stone Glacier's pack sling on my pack. It could probably be adapted to fit other makes of pack too.

I like the stone glacier sling and I’ve used it on EXO, KUIU and stone glacier. Keeps the rifle right behind my shoulder with easy quick access and not in my way or field of view and not pointing at anyone I may be hunting with.

Well there you go. I guess I should have asked sooner. Just ordered one to try out.

I am left handed. Any reason that would be a issue? It seems pretty ambidextrous.

I use a kifaru gun bearer. Usually need to hand carry if someone walking in front of me better muzzle control that way.

Any of you Kifaru Gun Bearer users, have you used it with a AR style rifle? Just wondering if the magazine or pistol grip would get in the way of something.

I tried several different things... ended up with the Stone Glacier bottom portion and the Kifaru bug bearer top. I like the way the Stone Glacier bottom attached to the frame vs the hip belt with Kifaru.

My pack has a zipper on the bottom that holds a boot for the butt of my rifle. I then use the straps on the body to hold it to the pack. I like the features of the pack a lot, but the comfort, not so much.

I wonder if you could take the same boot, and attach it to a pack that doesnt come with it...
