Is this a special deal? Showing 499 for meThis is a good deal. Also Scheels will have the Garmin for $400 which is also good...
Check the black friday sale ad. It's not that price yet thoughIs this a special deal? Showing 499 for me
I used a buddies to check it out and very easy to use and does everything I wanted. One thing of note is he said the Athlon and the Garmin varied about 10 fps in his experience. That was the only feedback I was given on it.You probably saw the "golf" Garmin ($399) which looks real similar to the Xero.
Does the Athlon work just like the Xero, or similar? Are these chronographs really worth this kind of money?
Thanks. I mean ya, the size, portability, and ease of use would be really nice. I have an old ProChrono that I've used on top of a tripod for both bows and rifles and it's been pretty accurate. I normally average 10-20 rounds to come up with speeds for my dope charts, and so far that's been really close when I verify at 400-600 yards. Just a pain to haul that big tripod and ProChrono around every time I want to check speeds.I used a buddies to check it out and very easy to use and does everything I wanted. Absolutely. I went from an old Prochrono to the Athlon. No need to drag a tripod and fiddle fart around setting it up and lining it up. The case for the Athlon can fit in a coat pocket and it literally takes under one minute to set it up and start shooting. Mine has not missed catching a single shot since I started using it. And no variability based on sunshine/clouds like the optical chronographs. Truly some of the best money I’ve spent. You probably saw the "golf" Garmin ($399) which looks real similar to the Xero.
