Does anyone have any experience with a digiscope or phone adapter for the Athlon Ares 15-45 65 mm ED spotting scope? I have been looking and not seeing one that is sold specifically for this scope. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jeff

I'm interested in this scope.......how do you like it? Word on the street is it punches way above its belt.

I have this spotting scope and love it for its size and weight. As you said, it’s a great scope especially for the price you can often find it.
As for the original question posed, I turned to the novagrade digiscoping adapter and have liked it. It’s a little heavy but easy to use and bulletproof.

I love mine. Great optical quality and packability.

I thought I saw Phoneskope has one. I haven’t bought an adapter yet.

I have this spotter and agree very much with the consensus on it. Best spotter for the money hands down. I got mine on Amazon for $485 a few months ago.

If you aren't going to beat on it, there's a universal one on amazon/ebay that works pretty well, but its made of plastic.

Thanks PG33, that will work the best since it will work on all the optics I have.

I watched the Robby Denning vid on it and looks perfect for my needs.

I should get the scope today and will let you know what I think. I only have experience with a celestron 100mm scope which was pretty useless for my needs.

Thanks PG33. The setup worked better than I would have expected. The Athlon is very clear to glass with but the Novagrade combo sets it at a new level. I have added example pics.
First pic is at 15x they are at 1000yrds
Second is same group at 45x
Third is horses at 2500yrds
Fourth is a stud at 800yrds
Can’t say enough about how easy it was to judge them at great distances. Thanks for all the help. E1A1F333-5466-4E4C-BD1F-62C51DC732D0.jpeg3439EEDD-FBAE-4ADF-B3E4-B6B042222A31.jpeg5EB95D6A-1CBA-483E-A455-7E0652D43395.jpeg5C15E631-A70F-479E-9B9A-3D25E30C0725.jpeg

The Novagrade Digiscope is expensive, but I can tell you I crushed it in my pack, dropped it countless times and dropped it while attached to the scope. Brush the dirt off and it was still set and locked in. The only issue was what others have said about the Athlon, the set screws on the eyepiece came loose from all the adding a removing the digiscope adapter. Did not effect the scope but the eyepiece would rotate under pressure. I have added red loctite to the set screws and tightened them back down. Other than that I am not sure why you would need anything better than this setup. It allowed be to field judge them from the pics on my phone, which made it that much easier of a decision on which ones were shooters.
