ATA 2017 - Browning Speed Load Knives

Finally some practical sense to have a knife that also accepts standard box cutting blades! Looks awesome! And surprised by the inexpensive price

I've never been a fan of Boker Knives because of the ceramic blades, attempting to sharpen them is a lesson in frustration...and they do break. There are a number of companies making quality knifes with box cutter blade inserts, a good option for those not keen on sharpening skills.

Worrying about how to sharpen or how difficult they may be to sharpen is missing the point of replaceable blade knives.

To my knowledge you can not sharpen a ceramic blade and so long as you don't chip the blade or try cutting bones, etc. they stay sharp forever. I have 2 that I use in the kitchen which are 7 yrs. old and still as sharp as the day I got them.

I'm definitely intrigued by this knife. Had a quick look on Amazon, you can get one for $30 - $36 shipped. The only thing I don't like is that it looks like they only sell the replacement blades in a 4-pack of blades which includes the drop point, caping, gut-hook, and utility. I would hope that they would offer the drop point and caping blades separately, since those are the blades I would see myself using the most.

Very cool. I like the look of this better than a Havalon. I would still like to see a fixed version of this instead of a folder.

Those blades look substantial enough that you actually could sharpen them if you needed/wanted to.

Thanks for that! :D
$4.99 for a 3 pack isn't that bad.

Honestly, I like the idea of the Havalon because of the weight saving over a regular knife. The Browning, I'm guessing, is going to be around the same weight (ish) as a regular folder. I know how to sharpen a knife, so I don't really see a place for this in my kit. Very nice execution though & I'm sure it'll be a godsend to the carburundumly challenged.

Looks like a cool idea to me. They definitely took the replacement blade knife the next step.

I bought one for Christmas, I like it a lot so far. Bigger handle than my havalon, fits my hand better, I love being able to use a few different styles of blade.
