So whos giving up their Assault weapon (What is an Assault Weapon?) In Washington. looks like you all need to start gathering at State Capital.
This country is heading to civil war if this keeps up much longer. Its a sad state of affairs. I hope it gets overturned.

When an elected servant violates their oaths of office, they no longer have authority. Until people realize that, this nonsense will continue to happen...

Good thing people aren't under house arrest and they can hop the boarder to Idaho to get parts.

GOOD! Commiefornia banned them years ago and look how safe we are now:rolleyes:

Sad to see how other states ignored CA, NY, NJ, MA, etc thinking it wouldn't happen here (insert state)....

Sad state of affairs. At least I had time to buy 2 more and some parts kits. I don't see this getting overturned here anytime soon.

Jeez when you think it couldn’t get worse it does. I try to keep politics away from work, recreation and home but it almost impossible nowadays. Even the dang bud light can throws it in our face. Kind of off topic but same agenda from the left.

I’m a 50 year old life long WA resident who owns guns and hunts and fishes. There are many like me there but we just don’t have the numbers and or many don’t care anymore here. Also people will exit the state because they can’t take it anymore. Place has become an over priced armpit of the west coast
I would NOT recommend ever relocating here. Eventually our only advantage will disappear to. No Income tax. We don’t have it but they will eventually pass that

Stats state this is a safe STATE but those are old. Crime is getting bad even Rural like where I live. Car theft happens constantly and Walmarts are even having 2nd thoughts operating here

So are they saying if you own one you have to destroy it ( get rid of it) ? Or you can't buy them from now on.

firearms that fall under the definition legally owned at the time of legislation can still be owned after it gets signed by the governor. Sale, manufacture, importation and transfer are prohibited. An exemption for owners to transfer to a family member upon death exists. Gets really fuzzy after that. The definition under the legislation is so broad. Many pistols and shotguns that meet the description are also prohibited. I’ve been ringing their phones off the hook at the capital since the beginning of the legislative session. It’s been very frustrating. The legislation can’t stand up to strict constitutional scrutiny, and should be repealed, but I’m not holding my breath.https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1240&Year=2023&Initiative=false still has to go back to the House of Representatives for reconciliation before it hits the governor’s desk. It is just one of the trash bills that are going through.

We need to start banning all traitors to the Constitution from ever getting into public office. Unfortunately, that would require a complete overhaul for most all federal, state, and local positions.
Slow march through the institutions was pretty well verified when they changed their tune from "free speech for all", no matter how treasonous, to the silencing of the un-woke. This has been decades in the making and if anyone thinks they'll stop now that they hold most of the offices of power, they need to look again.

They're working on a permit to buy bill currently as well. Coupled with anyone who has an NFA item, It's a good start for the gov.
I don't believe that one made it through... it wasn't heard.

The anti's are playing the long game... doesn't matter if they "wouldn't know", or if you could just "drive to Idaho"... a lot of people aren't going to go along with the law, but it is just another cut to our freedom... by the next generation, its just normal.

I think this will get over turned by the higher courts but its going to take years and once it gets passed, just makes it easier the next time.

We simply can’t comply any longer even if we risk being felons
there’s no more room for bending
A govt entity doesn’t tell us what to do, not to do, or own; not to own. That power comes from another place

Tangentially…I’ve never understood guys who rail against gun registration etc, but stand in line to buy silencers etc etc etc. they are literally fingerprinting and keeping your pic on file. Maybe more to it than I understand.
