Aspens & Understory vegetation

Went out recently to do some scouting in likely areas in central Colorado below I-70 and found the vegetation (understory) very thick in and around the Aspens. How much can I expect it to thin out by first rifle season so that I can see more than a 100 yards or less in the Aspens or is that just the way it is?

Only thing that will change much during archery is maybe color

Usually pretty thick in the Aspen timber. Good place to bowhunt.

For first rifle I'd try to locate a park in between some Aspen and black timber. Somewhere I could see a good ways
