Arrow weight for bear

Wondering what guys are using for arrow weight and bow poundage for bear..

I’m 71# 30” draw with a 464gr arrow fixed blade broadhead. Haven’t hunted bear with a compound before so just curious what guys have found in terms of penetration and pass through

they’re easier to get through than your average mule deer buck. What’s really important with bears is shot placement. Our instinct is to sneak arrows tight to the shoulder but you have to remember to keep it back a little further on a bear.

I'd say you have enough for a pass-through. Meaning, through the bear, and the barrel.

My arrows are around 500gr and all have been pass throughs. Shot a 350lb Black bear last year and zipped right though him. What you have for weight and head will work great. As mentioned above aim further back. Middle of the middle. Good luck !
