My current setup is a diamond black ice @62# shooting 30" Easton Nemesis 340s. I am looking at getting some GT hunter gts and using an insert weight to get a wee more foc and keep a similar weight. Being that point wieght weakens arrow spine, if I use a 50 grain insert weight, should I shoot a 300 spine or am I still ok with a 340?

I would definitely go to a 300 spine! Your bow's IBO puts it right in the middle of which chart to use, but the common advice is to always lean towards the stiffer spine if you're on the line. With the extra weight up front, both charts say 300 is what you need.

I have a Diamond Fugitive and a deadeye, both 60lbs and draw 29" Both shoot a 29" 340 axis with 125gr head quite well, bare shaft impacts with fletched at 20 and 30 yards. I have experimented with 50gr inserts and have found both bows like 29" 300 spined arrows, 50gr insert with a 150 or 175gr head. If I cut the 300's at 29 3/4", I could use 125gr heads. In order to maintain similar overall arrow weight, you will have to go to an arrow with lighter grains per inch.

Just put some quick numbers into SFA. Made a couple assumptions:

With Hunter Pro 300's, 30" length, 30" Draw, 318 IBO, 62# draw weight, 185gr of point weight - you are right in the middle of ideal spine with the 300's. Go to 160gr of point weight - you're still in the green, just a little higher. (Including tip weight, insert weight, additional weight all together) Didn't know your draw length - that could change things if I'm off...
