@Zac, interesting. So what shaft would be your recommendation with my proposed set up at 29.5 and 65 to 70 pounds? Thank you in advance. I appreciate all the feedback so far.

I’d go 300. Shot them on my 70# and were great

I am shooting the same arrow you are, and I would keep it because you have a great platform to build on. Screw in 75 grains of brass to your half out and you will be right at 500 gn (+/- 5 gn) with around 18-19 FOC and 100 gn broad heads. Jump up to a 125 gn broadhead and gain 1-1.5 FOC. You have plenty of spine in your current arrow to go either way.

My set up

B.E. Rampage 300 spine @ 28" - 244 gn
B.E. SS Bone Crushing Half Out - 51 gn
Brass weight - 75 gn
QAD Exodus - 125 gn
AAE Max Stealth Vane - 7.5 gn
B.E. R-Nock - 9 gn
Total weight - 528-530 gn
FOC - 20
Speed from my RX3 @ 28.5" / 70.8 # = 267 FPS

Another plug for ethics stainless statics. I've ordered quite a bit of stuff from the fellow. Excellent customer service and the stuff is great.

If you place an order with him, go ahead and get the field point test kit - you'll thank yourself later and save on shipping. These are the easiest way to figure out what works best.

I shoot RIP TKO Elite 300's, at 70/30 an 28.75" C2C. I could get away with 225 grains up front(ethics static/exodus 125). 250gr got a little squirrelly, but I could back off draw a little and get it to tune. 275 was a definite no go. This setup with 225 up front was by far the best shooting combo I've landed on. I wanted a little more weight so I have been tinkering.

I am setting up x impact .250's with 285gr up front. Early returns these fly well, and I can likely get similar to the above setup.
