But you get to pay for the extra material, straps, and buckles by having a really heavy pack.

Check weights on the new ARK with a Absoroka, Gnargali, Dall or similar. They’re not any heavier than other packs of the same volume and capability. And for me, they carry the weight better than any. I’ve used StoneGlacier, MR, and Exo. The ARK is by far my favorite under heavy load.

Hate to break the hearts of any fanboys, but one of my hunting partners goes to the same as gym as Snyder and...... He was seen wearing a Stone Glacier pack.
I'm sure more happened than the public will know.
Mel Terkla era/designs are sought after still and bring big dollars.

Frank was in a SG days after leaving. I wanted to love their packs but they just never fit me right. But I love the simplicity of the system.

Makes sense, if I spent years competing with other companies and became free to use any pack I wanted, there would probably be a few that I’d want to try out for a bit

Well in all fairness i couldnt support the K anymore after Aron said he would ruin my career in the outdoor industry when i left kifaru and also fired me when i accepted his severance offer because it was “offered in passing” verbally.

I decided to go back to school. I'm about half way through getting my bachelor's in computer science and recently landed a job at an engineering firm in Denver after a summer internship. I'm retired from the outdoor industry for now ;), but still get my hunts in weekend-warrior style. Life is good!

Wow. That really shines a light on Aron as a human. Glad to know it. Maybe they got sick of his crap too.

I'd also like to mention that weeks before I left, I was notified by a few industry contacts that he told if they did not pull their support of me that they would no longer be promoted by him or Kifaru. There have been posts about this in the past, but they alway get deleted by mods.

That is as much as I need to say, this doesn't need to turn into a bash fest, but I am one of MANY MANY people that have experienced this but it always gets brushed under the rug.

I will say Aron has done a lot of good for the outdoor industry, he is an expert in many things archery, hunting, and survival. I considered him to be a mentor and really like an older brother. It has taken some time, but I don't hate the guy. I think he needs to put in a lot of work to be a better person and I hope his new gig is successful.
