There is also a big difference between filming it and filming it and posting it for the world to see.As much as I hate social media things I think I would definitely film a buddy going after a yote with a knife so I can laugh at him repeatedly and show everyone we know when he gets bit..
I still like Aron and still using my 14 year old Kifaru.I joined this forum in 2017 and about 70% of the members at that time had enormous man crushes on Aron. Everyone was wearing and promoting Kifaru packs. Its wild to see the difference now in 2026 with seemingly no one liking Aron, Kifaru or Born Primative.
Personally I always thought he was arrogant and never really liked him. Its beyond my comprehension that a guy in his position would think it was OK to be filmed doing something like this.
Do you know him outside of social media?Wish him the best and this will not change my opinion about him in any way.
The problem is, if that's true, why wouldn't you just shoot it?In the post scotti said it happened ~8 years ago. Yote ate a calf and was shot. Looks like he went in to kill it after it was shot and it looked to me like his actions were more to avoid not getting bit while using a knife.
Definitely not enough context to jump on a bandwagon.
One more time so the people in the back are sure to hear it.To me, as someone who cares very much about killing an animal as cleanly and efficiently as possible, irregardless of wether it is a prey or predator, this was not that.
Is that why he kicked it in the head?looked to me like his actions were more to avoid not getting bit while using a knife.
Does it matter? He's reaping his participation trophy either way. There's no statute of limitations on the internet, especially when you make a living on your internet influence.Anybody know if HE posted it or did the guy who filmed it sit on it and post it 8 years later?
