I will be picking up Doug from Denver International Airport on Friday and we'll be meeting Tim a few hours after that.

This will be a 9 day elk hunting adventure in the wild wilderness of Colorado. We are hoping to have decent cell service at some points of the trip and will update whenever possible.

I am late to the party, but Kurt already told everyone I am soft.......

My gear surprising looks much like Aron's since we have been trying gear out over the last several years. I am not a skilled elk hunter by any means, so I won't be holding out much after a legal bull comes in and I can somehow get my arrow in the air prior to Aron. It should be a good time none the less in the Colorado Wilderness.

Here is what gear I am taking:

Duplex Timberline T2
XTL Lid
Chamber Pocket – Black (2)
Aron’s Strap Kit
Photon Lite

Swarovski 12 x 50 EL’s with Bino System
Optic Cleaning Supplies

Rhino 530 HCX GPS
Black Diamond Spot Headlamp
Sony Digital Camera
Extra Batteries (3 – AAA, 1 – CR2 3 Volt)

Jet Boil Sol Ti
Jet Boil 100G Fuel (New)
Light My Fire Fork and Spoon Combo

Montbell UL Spiral Down Hugger #1(15 Degree)
Big Agnes Three Wire eVent Bivy
Therm-a-Rest NeoAir (Stuff Sack & Repair Kit)

Hoyt Alpha Max 35 - 29" and 71 pounds
Hoyt Quiver
QAD Rest
Spot Hogg Tommy Hogg 5 Pin Slider
ACC Pro Hunter Series Arrows
Ulmer Edge Broadheads
B-Stinger Stabilizer and Side Bar
Stan Shoot Off Release (2)
Allen Wrenches
Bow Repair Kit
Smoke In A Bottle
Nikon Archer’s Choice Max Rangefinder with Lanyard
Extra Arrows & Broadheads (2)

Kuiu Guide Jacket
Kuiu Guide Beanie
Kuiu 250 Base Layer Top and Bottom
Under Armor Glove Liners
Smart-Wool Socks
Packable Rain Gear
REI Trail Running Gators
Kentrek Boots

Leatherman Squirt
Havalon Knife
Havalon Knife Blades (5)

3L Platypus
1L Platypus
4L MSR Hydromedary
Katadyn Tablets
PUR Hiker Pro Water Filter

550 Cord (30’)
3 Caribou Game Bags
2 Kifaru Meat Bags
2 Plastic Contractor Bags
Toilet Paper
Hygiene Kit (Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Floss & Q-Tips)

Like Aron I may have forgotten some things, but it is to late, my $hit is packed and I am at the airport on Friday at 5:15am and should be in the wilderness at about 2:00pm Colorado time.

Good luck to all the archers headed out for the last part of the season. The rut should be going well and hopefully we all punch our tags........

I think the Mophie charger is already getting taken out of the packing list....:)

I only got 1 charge out of it last night before it went dead, so it is going back to Best Buy today and getting swapped out for another model!

I know you don't have time to order one, but I have had good luck this year with this Anker battery http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGLTZQ/ref=oh_details_o06_s03_i00 Used it to charge phone 3 times plus ran a Goal Zero LED light for about 3 hours total. Still had juice but charged it again before next outing. So I don't know how many more charges I could have gotten.
