Good luck to you guys, look forward to the news of a harvest. Had to be back today, struck out in the end. Thanks for the gear recommendations as the two items I adopted worked perfectly. Dave
The last night was uneventful as we had wind in every direction every few minutes. We had a quick dinner and packed up and headed out. We hunted 9 days straight from five trailheads. With that we only had called in elk four times, with no shot opportunities on legal bulls. We did manage to hike a ton of country and it was a good trip none the less.
For those of you that have not hunted with Aron and may not believe he is a machine hiking in the mountains, he is. I don't even think I saw him sweat on any of the uphill climbs, while I was gasping and sweating most of the time.
Good time for sure. Tim was also good to be around, he hunts hard and is a wealth of archery information. Talking to him about technical stuff made me rethink some of my target bow set up.
Glad to hear you had a good trip despite the harvest (or absence of). It sounds like you guys really stuck it to it and put out the effort. It's always great to be in the field with good guys.

Doug, sorry to hear you didnt stick one. I know it wasnt from lack of trying. Hope the next trip works out better for ya. Doing any more hunts this year?
I have to work through end of deer season around here. I will do plenty of predator hunting and will try to get out and do some bear hunting in November.
