After getting back to camp last night we were worked to say the least. A quick hot meal and to bed. Aron reports that he put the 50 yrd pin on it's heart and shot right through the lungs. He's happy with the Ulmer Edges. Aron says "blood trail like I've never seen. "

We were up before light this morning and glassed some cows feeding over the summit. We're both sore but flying off of last nights success. Also saw about 80 cows over a mile a way. Right now the plan is to regroup, have a mule deer backstrap breakfast, hike back up to 12,400 and wait out those cows for this evening or the morning.

Just discovered this thread, what an awesome idea! Even cooler to be reading this from the middle of nowhere on the iPhone! AK typically has super poor reception off (and sometimes even on) main highways, but today I got lucky and am following this from the middle of nowhere where we chanced to have unexpected reception. We are stopped over on our way back home for what will be our third night at the house in the last nineteen. Luke is headed out again to chase sheep tomorrow night, while I spend a few days at work before heading back out early next week. Awesome to be able to stay connected during what is a super busy season for all of us!

Charging kit Just a battery and charging cord. Put the phone in airplane mode when not using it and I can get about 3 full charges. Lasts forever if not updating a live hunt!
