Arken EP5 Worth Purchasing?

Talk me out of purchasing an EP5. For the money it seems like a great value. Especially now that they're on sale. Any reason why I should be concerned with purchasing a scope from Arken rifle scope?

They were on my short list when I switched to a scope you could dial. My first choice was a SWFA 3-15, but they were out of stock, and I wanted to get it set up for my son's first hunting season. I ended up getting an Athlon Midas tac 4-16 and it has been great. That being said I just bought a gen 2 SWFA 3-15 to replace it. I assume I will be able to get a decent percentage of the Athlon scope back when I sell it.
My advice would be to get the Arken unless you wanted to spend the extra money on an SWFA. If you think you will upgrade down the line, I would just get the one you want right off the bat if you have the money.

I’ve got an Arken EP5 on one rifle and think they are way above their class. The tracking is spot on and the image quality is really good for the price. I have some of the older HD SWFA and believe the optical quality is a lot better to my eyes in the Arken. There are some reviews done by TiborasaurusRex on Youtube that compares the Arken to way higher classes and tests the tracking.

Thanks for your feedback. Do you think his reviews are spot on or do they receive some compensation for the reviews? It can be hard to find unbiased reviews on youtube.

I have some and they have all tracked correctly and been repeatable. They are on low risk of impact guns like prairie dog guns and range toys where I don’t have an issue zeroing after a fall or drop but want repeatable turrets. In this manner they are great. DNT offers a very similiar scope. Not every rifle can have a premium optic and these fit nicely for that requirement.

I have the SH4 on my 22. Tracks well. I’m sure it can’t take any abuse but it works well for the 22 and the ranges I shoot it at!

At this point I think he’s sponsored in some way for how long he’s been doing the reviews. However, I think his reviews are solid in the testing. The previous links posted are interesting for sure but every optic can fail. I’ve had Leupolds, SWFA, and Trijicons fail as well. Anything manmade can break.

I belive they’re a solid product for the price. They offer a lifetime guarantee and the tracking has been great in most reviews and my experience. Optical appearance is hard to base on ones experience. We all see things differently and to other levels. It’s all to the individual shooter. The price is hard to beat for the product to me.
