I managed to draw an AZ early November muley tag south of Winslow. It’s a fairly big unit, mostly NF and seems to have a lot of terrain and habitat diversity. I’ve camped near there but have little real time in the unit. My research suggests a large resident push and plenty of road hunting. Generally speaking will the mule deer be up high at that time or will they simply be where one finds them? Any particular habitat type? I love the ponderosa woods but if they aren’t there I will look elsewhere. With so many supposedly road hunting is it simple enough to walk away from the crowds or will the opener be a circus everywhere? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
