That’s a bit of an exaggeration. He was convicted of 6 of 7 charges and none were specifically labeled as “poaching”. It does say “unlawful take” which could be any number of things. So far there’s been a ton of speculation going on as to what the actual basis is behind it all. Why was AZGFD kind to him and why was he not brought before the commission? The incident never made the docket for any of the meetings and nothing appears in any transcripts (or meeting video's) that I can find. It appears that for some reason AZGFD made him a deal and let him answer only to the state. Something doesn’t fully add up quite yet to the stories being thrown around. The real truth will show up someday.Yeah, I can pull up the court documents. I believe there were 24 counts that he was convicted of.
