Yeah, I can pull up the court documents. I believe there were 24 counts that he was convicted of.
That’s a bit of an exaggeration. He was convicted of 6 of 7 charges and none were specifically labeled as “poaching”. It does say “unlawful take” which could be any number of things. So far there’s been a ton of speculation going on as to what the actual basis is behind it all. Why was AZGFD kind to him and why was he not brought before the commission? The incident never made the docket for any of the meetings and nothing appears in any transcripts (or meeting video's) that I can find. It appears that for some reason AZGFD made him a deal and let him answer only to the state. Something doesn’t fully add up quite yet to the stories being thrown around. The real truth will show up someday.

His license was permanently revoked by the Arizona Game Commission.
To add to Bbob's statement, it is odd that I have not seen any revocation proceedings by the AZGFD in relation to Duwayne's case. They have managed to keep most of the actual details under wraps and basically let him try and hide the fact that he got busted. Do you have any actual documents stating he received a lifetime license ban?

It's official now. As of 09/09/2022 Robert Duwane Adams has had his hunt, fish and trapping privileges revoked for 5 years and will pay $9318.12 restitution to the State for 3 WT Deer. Without a hunt license he cannot guide. The Dept spent 450 hours investigating the case. He basically was caught baiting. There are audio minutes available and if you want to listen to the case it starts at 2:09:45. They would have liked to have taken the license for 10 years but the specific charges (possession) only allowed for 5. More charges for another incident may be coming. That incident was during 01/2022.

Yup, he's part of a growing list now.
A3 guide Brian Fisher take wildlife with unlawful method
A3 guide Jed Larsen that somehow forgot where the res boundary was
Steven Ward falsifying annual guide report. License revoked for 5yrs in 2021. Still guiding Mexico
How many do we actually have????

Just curious what was he baiting with? In AZ the rules around using water and salt are rather ambiguous.

No idea, the officer at the commission meeting stated that he (Adams) was observed purchasing said bait. Leads me to believe that they went so far as to go undercover to gain evidence. Many still use salt here. I think the legality is you probably can't actually hunt over it but they can't actually stop anyone from using it. They did this because salt is so prevalent in the cattle ranching that it would be hard to separate out. Before the camera ban tons of people used salt to attract the animals to the cameras but most I knew that did that didn't hunt over it but I'm sure many did and will continue to do so.

Yes, that’s what I meant by ambiguous.
