I’m looking at either the argali absorka or Kifaru tut for a do it all shelter from September elk to late seasons with a stove. Is there anyone that has used both what were some pros and cons? I will usually be solo but occasionally have a partner.

The Tut’s footprint is smaller (100”x100”) vs (130”x114”) but plenty for 2 guys, gear and a stove. Tut’s height is 78” compared to the 74” of the Absorka. Tut has a single door in the corner vs the Absorkas dual entry doors.

I put 12” of 2mm cord and cord locks on all the stake out loops of my Tut so I can raise it off the ground for ventilation. I’m sure you can do the same to the Absorka to get the extra height if needed. I don’t really see any real drawbacks (maybe larger footprint) and only a positive in the dual doors of the Absorka.

If my Tut craps out and I can’t find another, the Absoroka will be its replacement until something better comes along.
