Archery sights .10 or .19

Shot .19 for years, back when that was all you could get. Bought a SH Fast Eddie with.10 pins and I liked it. Didn’t seem to halo as much for me. Now all my sights have .10 pins.

.10. You’ve always got a light or a rheostat (if the sight has one) to help with the brightness. If you’ve got a touch of target panic the smaller pin tends to exacerbate it

I prefer .019s for hunting. I swap the scope out for a single .010 during summer 3D season and then back to a three pin during hunting season.

The .019 pins are brighter, regardless of manufacturer and at first and last light that’s what matters most to me.

.19 for me. I did a custom pin size order on a spott hogg once with .29 for top pin, .19 for next 2 then .10 for bottom 2 pins. I competed with pins a ton in Field, indoor, and 3-D. I went back to all .19 for my sights after that one. My eyes are still great but I caught myself over aiming with the tiny pins.

Has anyone played with changing out the colors on your pins to help see better at low light? I am about to order some .010 and it gives me the option for which color. Just thought I would ask before spending some money.

Yup change fiber many times. In my experience green is the best option for hunting. Orange and red work but can get washed out in the fall. But grab multiple fibers and try different ones and see what you like best. Swapping fibers is easy and cheap. Just don’t make hard bends or kinks in fiber when swapping.
