Archery / backpack hunting the new Crossfit?

Just think about all that gear floating around for half price in a year or two, i think I'll be stocking up for my kids on the cheap! Just no hats!!

Flat bill hats are to 2016 what JNCOs were to 1996. .

If I recall, rolling your bill was the thing to do to rebell against the norm of flat billed trucker hats like the old curmudgeons wore. I think it's coming full circle now.
I was a kid in the 80's and early 90's. I think more than a few of us can agree that flat brimmed hats are definitely not a new trend. I've got some pics of the old man from the 70s and 80s that would make some in crowd now pretty "jelly". Flat, curved, sideways, backwards, I could care less how you wanna wear your own sh*7, mine has to be backwards sometimes or its in the way when I draw the stick bow.

Same here. I'm 42 so I'm getting old enough to see some of it come full circle. And I also wear my hat backwards when shooting my trad bows.

What on earth?????? I must have been in a coma in 1996 because I've NEVER seen anything like that before......thank goodness.

DangerousD.....my Chucks are either a 12 or 13, can't remember. I found a pair of used ones in my closet the other day too. I'm pretty sure I have another used pair in the basement as well.

When I was a kid (born in 65), even the old guys rolled their hat brims. I think if someone would have shown up with a flat bill they would have gotten a punch in the face, then had their brim rolled correctly.:D

Having been born in 65, you were just old enough to have been buffered from this. It was peak between 95 and 98 with kids who were between 12 and 20. Trust me, it was a real thing. So, listen up, kids. See this pic below? However ridiculous this looks to you is how ridiculous those flat brimmed hats are going to look down a few years down the road.

Holy Crap seeing these pictures just gave me bad flash backs of being in high school in the mid 90's, . Now its all about skinny jeans.......

Man, I'll tell you what... I shot at an indoor range in Denver today, and if the flat brimmers wearing Under Armour camo with their range finders and bino harnesses weren't bad enough - (there wasn't a 3D shoot happening or anything like that and a couple of guys kept ranging their paper targets hanging on the wall from the 20 yard line ) another large contingent of flat brimmers were wearing those jeans with embroidered pockets/flaps and looked they were going to a Luke Bryan concert or line dancing. Mountain Ops should make a body spray so those guys don't have to wear Axe anymore.

And call it BRO-JOOCE!

If I would have come home wearing something like that, my dad would have beat me senseless........and rightfully so. Then he would have given me a butch haircut just so I didn't get any "hair" ideas either. This is where parents have failed. I blame this kind of stuff on the parents. If you're a parent, act like it.

I remember coming home from my freshman year of college and my hair was down to not even my shoulder line. I walk in and my dad says "Where you living this summer?" And I reply "I thought I was living here". He says "Not with that hair you're not".

All my girls know, if they come home with colored or streaked hair or anything else weird, I'll shave their head.

Cue the Cam Hanes body spray commercial :D
Maybe it will come in a spray bottle shaped like a hammer
"Its all mental.... until the ladies smell you"

I care a whole lot more about how people act and treat others than what they choose to wear or what color their hair is.

Tuck your ears into your flat bill for all I care, just don't be a jackass to others.

I figure if someone is going to go out of their way to look like a jackass, then they're probably not acting for the role.

I guess to each their own. It's been my experience in life that jackassery is not easily predicted by one's appearance. A couple of the nicest guys I know wear flat billed hats and skinny jeans. One even has a beard. One of the biggest assholes I ran into last year during hunting season was a 60+ year old man wearing filson pants and suspenders.

YMMV
