Archery / backpack hunting the new Crossfit?

Old farts: These damn kids with their Xbox's and their Face books! Why don't you put down the controller and get outside!
Flatty bro: Okay. We will go hunting instead.
Old farts: Goddamnit.

Sorry guys - I didn't mean for this to turn contentious.

Style comes and goes, and like others have said, people should be judged for their actions - not how they dress.

I know Mountain Ops sponsors this forum and many other events and I'm not criticizing them, their product, or their users.

I don't think anyone took offense 3forks. Honestly, if younger folks aren't annoying their older counterparts then they are doing something wrong! Just as long as they stay off my lawn... :)

I agree, no disrespect to Mtn Ops.

There are a lot of things I never understood. Guys that where earrings, or other piercing, tattoos are another.

Just not my style. :) To each his own.

Yup, no disrespect to any sponsors, as its all in good fun. If the hat fits, wear it, flat billed or "copey-hagen can curled".
Style is and has always been relative to the wearer.
I over heard a couple older seasoned citizens chatting the other day outside a coffee shop,
One was sayin, after someone walked by in all the latest bro garb, "while one may look like a fool, unless you act like a fool, your cool."

I had to chuckle at that one.

One last thing: ok I really cannot understand why a dude would want to walk around with their ass hangin out their baggy 6 sized too big pants, wobble-hobbling around like an orangutan ape. I mean really man, you walk like a flippin APE! They gotta hold on their pants belt with one hand to keep em up. And they they try and RUN,, pure entertainment there! WTH!
As HANK HILL would say "that boy aint right!"

All of the new flat bill, compression sock, bro tank, choco wearing types do make it hard for a guy to legitimately jump into the game. I have always archery hunted but only recently moved out west. When gearing up and hoping to connect with like minded folks, the millennial bro crowd is definitely there.

I guess I should say that a lot of them seem like good dudes, I've just never seen so many modern day hippies/trendy/hipster/frat boys in my life.

Utah is the epicenter of the "look at me I do it to and have the latest and greatest even though I never actually do it". That goes with anything. Utah has to be the worst "keep up with the jones" place I've lived in.

Who cares. If they are ethical hunters who are kind to others; that's what matters to me.

That's the way I see it. The current hipster hunter/hunter athlete/adventure hunter whatever craze is a far more unassailable ethical image than the lowest common denominator Bubba-In-The-Back-of-the-Pickup strawman the media and antis throw out there.
