Depends on what your interpretation of the 1st Amendment is. Seems like some of the people here need to brush up on the amendment and subsequent court rulings. Just to refresh, any speech that is used to incite actions that would produce imminent lawless action and/or harm to others is not covered under the 1st Amendment, nor are threats to kill someone, (including the Vice President). If posters start calling for violence or threating to kill the V, Nancy or anyone for that matter, I would assume that the risk for shutting down hosting would increase. And rightfully so.

It appears that a company called Cloudflare hosts and/or provides other services to Rokslide. Ironically Cloudlare is no stranger to similar issues as it was was presented with a very similar situation in 2019 and decided to take action. I have attached part of their response and a link to the full article. In essence they decided to terminate hosting services to several particularly reprehensible sites they used to host and provided some direction and explanation for their decision. I think its worth the read.

From the link below:

From Cloudflare: Many of our customers run platforms of their own on top of our network. If our policies are more conservative than theirs it effectively undercuts their ability to run their services and set their own policies. We reluctantly tolerate content that we find reprehensible, but we draw the line at platforms that have demonstrated they directly inspire tragic events and are lawless by design. 8chan has crossed that line. It will therefore no longer be allowed to use our services.

I should have clarified. I meant the equal application of the first ammendment.

The funny thing here is that the guy who founded GoDaddy, Bob Parsons is, or at least was, an elephant hunter. I think he sold most off and is no longer on the board...but still...

Nothing posted in the regular fashion of a discussion on a forum would be "imminent lawless action" unless the communication was taking place as the action was being started and very specific in direction. It might easily prompt investigative measures, but the act in and of itself isn't illegal. If you were implying that speakers at a rally a few miles from a criminal action were inciteful and creating an imminent situation, Brandenburg V Ohio is the benchmark case protecting darned near any speech Brandenburg v. Ohio - Case Summary and Case Brief (legaldictionary.net) It's the reason why organizers of anti-police riots over the past 20 years have never sniffed a criminal investigation.

I think the first six months to a year is going to be a whirlwind of $hit. It seems like the left is almost trying to provoke a certain reaction right now.

I think they want fodder to support their restrictions. Trump played into their hand last week and gave them a rocket shjp to launch some BS. Have you heard anything about Hunter lately? They would LOVE for one of these demonstrations next week to result in a demonstrator using their firearm. They would fear monger any on the fence or ignorant person into being a lifelong anti-gunner, especially if something like that occurred in two or more locations.

To all the folks that are apathetic to the current events think about this for a second... THIS IS SERIOUS.

Someone finds out you were at a Trump rally this year or they see a FB post that you simply wanted allegations of vote fraud investigated.
You voiced opposition to a policy or candidate
One day the FBI knocks on your door & starts questioning you or arrests you or threatens to arrest your 18 year old kid & charges you with a "hate crime" because you exercised your first amendment right to peacefully assemble. You did nothing at the rally except hold an American flag & pray for your country.
The agent tells you that your lefty neighbor filed a bogus complaint & because of red flag laws you have to surrender your guns.
Then you're placed on a no-fly list so you can't get on a plane & travel.
Your social media & email accounts are frozen & you can't communicate
You try to get an attorney to help defend yourself but they refuse to help any conservative because they've been threatened by corporations & politicians.
If you think this can't happen in America well guess what brother... it's already happening.

Cloudflare is not where we host the site. Cloudflare acts more like a firewall.

I don't worry about getting shut down by our host I worry more about getting shut now by an ISP.

I agree. It’s seems they want to push just hard enough to get a small uprising that will be squashed. That will lead into gun control/confiscation and a crackdown on anything perceived as white.

I also think there is a possibility that Trump is and has always been a voluntary part of a movement towards government control and socialism by being the most prominent figurehead of Republicans since Reagan. Tenaciously supported and polarizing, a perfect window has opened up for elected and appointed to start telling peers and constituents to pick a side. None of the stuff that happened over the summer, none of the attack on 1A that has taken place this week and censorship over the last year, and none of the precedent setting attacks on the holder of the oval office would have been thought of as possible without a polarizing target to test the waters on.
My belief with Trump is that he is mostly right about everything he has said about government corruption, stolen election, and being a white knight to America, or he willingly has been apart of the plan to get to where we are today. I would venture to guess that within a year and a half, Biden will see these same kinds of attacks on his presidency, because the precedent of acceptance has been set, and will not survive his term.

It’s takes an Obama to get a Trump!
