It's interesting to look through the proposed legislation for the 117th congress.
https://www.congress.gov/search?q={%22source%22:%22legislation%22}&searchResultViewType=expanded&pageSort=dateOfIntroduction%3Adesc

Some of the ones I've found so far...
- To prohibit the imposition of the death penalty for any violation of Federal law, and for other purposes.
- To address the disparate impact of climate change on women and support the efforts of women globally to address climate change, and for other purposes.
-To repeal the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002.
-To require the publication of the name of any person pardoned by the President, and for other purposes.
- To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to create a reduction schedule for public service loan forgiveness, and for other purposes.
- To provide that certain Executive Orders with respect to Federal employee collective bargaining and workplace rights shall have no force or effect, and for other purposes.
- To amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to allow all eligible voters to vote by mail in Federal elections, to amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to provide for automatic voter registration, and for other purposes.
- To prohibit the transfer of a firearm at a gun show by a person who is not a federally licensed firearms dealer.
-To provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.
- To require the safe storage of firearms and ammunition, and to require the investigation of reports of improper storage of firearms or ammunition.
- To amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to more comprehensively address the interstate transportation of firearms or ammunition.

They are coming hard and fast.
Yup HR 127 is the worst one, but there are about 8 on the list for discussion that are all gun based. It happened in spring in Virginia and they passed their new gun laws even though 90% of the states counties tried to avoid them by creating gun sanctuary counties. They wrote the book on ignoring your citizens and voting party line.

Here’s my thoughts. In the end result will be a conservative leaning web related services, social media, etc. Some billionaire will fund something or a business will be created.

People were tired of no news outlets that weren’t biased, gave birth to talk radio, various conservative leaning news programs.

Once this is put into use all over, it will end up damaging these large companies, look at the lost revenue news, newspapers, etc have lost. It won’t happen overnight, but in the decade to come.

You can’t alienate 40%+ of your customer base and expect to grow in any business.

Ha. AR15.com didn't go away because they talk about the 'bad gunz.' It's because they became an echo chamber for the type of far right rhetoric that fomented last weeks events.

Rokslide looks to be trending that way based on the last few days here.....

Can you at least try to be honest with yourself? I'm not familiar with this site but they aren't banned because the rhetoric lead to a riot. They were spreading the WRONG TYPE of rhetoric. Radical left rhetoric that leads to violence and riots has been accepted, condoned, and lauded for MONTHS in this country in every major city and in many places across the world. This did not result in any websites being shut down.

One group of bad actors on the right and they are going nuclear on anyone who leans even remotely right. Are you so committed to your own echo chamber that you can't even see this, or is it willful ignorance on your part?

Go to places that have no moderation and you will find a cesspool of shit from both the left and the right. You can spend your day reading some of the most heinous shit imaginable. Anybody that thinks that either side has a monopoly on this has their head up their ass and likes the smell.

I think this is all a slippery slope but how we play along. As of now a private company has the right to refuse service so long as it's not based on race, gender, or religion, I think. So like it or not a private hosting company can pick and choose who they host.

Just remember everything works both ways. It's how RS can get rid of those around here, they may claim censorship, but it's the right of the owner.

I believe the owners should have that right. We have the right as consumers not to use their service.

I spent time on ARFcom years ago but got away from it. Certain sections did seem political and had a strong right bais. I dont like the idea of technology companies, banks, etc opting out because they aren’t aligned with the politics of the site. That feels like a very slippery slope.

Won’t be long and credit card companies will ban ammo/gun sales. They are no different than PayPal, can make them as they go. The pressure will be intense for the foreseeable future

Some are already banning contributions to Reps or Senators who had the audacity to question the election results.
