Like to know how well it holds up to the weather. looking at this for an ultralight rain jacket but would like to hear some feedback on how well it withstands the water.

Thanks!

It does better than the Sitka Dewpoint. I have both. It is an anorak. But it sheds water fairly well. The First lite stormtight is pretty light as well and is half way between the Koldo (heavy duty rain jacket) and Poseiden.

Sincerely,
Thomas

If you hold off a bit on your rain gear purchase I have a pretty comprehensive review I am working to finish up. You might find the info helpful before you start buying.

I wore my poseiden pants the last hunt and it was in snow. Its not a rain but no moisture got thru to the covered part of my boots. Or any part of my legs. I wore just cheap long johns underneath and they are very wind resistant so i was able to stay warm. Id recommend them to anyone looking for rain gear but i dont know about how they would do in hot weather breathability. I got in the truck and i could feel the moisture from my legs accumulating inside once the heat got going. Love the quality and they camo seems to blend real well with the shadows.

What size do you wear? I have a poseidon jacket new with tags that I need to sell and find a larger size. I like it alot for lightweight raingear but I need an XL. The one I have is a L. I was thinking the same thing you were.

I went with the Koldo jacket and the poseidian pants. Dealt with more snow than I ever want to see again over a twelve day period and I stayed bone dry. Was on horseback riding through deadfall most of the time and I kept waiting for a tree limb or branch to tear or poke a hole in the material and I was amazed that it never happened. I did have a small ember from the campfire burn a tiny hole in the pants but other than that they both performed excellent.
